Dr. Mick Kelly is a national award winning orthopedic researcher. As a medical student at the University of Wisconsin, he conducted a spine surgery research project that received the AO Spine North America Resident Paper of the Year Award. During his residency at Rush, he focused on clinical outcomes in patients undergoing hip and knee replacements. Dr. Kelly continued to investigate clinical outcomes of hip and knee replacement patients as a fellow at the University of Utah where his yearlong research project was awarded the Jon T. Mader Award for Best Clinical Research Project by the Musculoskeletal Infection Society. Dr. Kelly enjoys presenting research all across the country and collaborates with other national leaders to strive for improved outcomes for hip and knee replacement patients.
